It shows how well you already know a word. The track runs from "New" to "Solid", and the ball moves right in seven steps: one step forward when you know the word, and back when you don't.
When the ball reaches the far right, it bursts into a small firework once and stays green.
Recognise, Recall and Produce. The further the ball has travelled, the more demanding the question gets.
It depends on how you rated it. After “Good” or “Easy” it will not come back today. After “Again” or “Hard” you see it again the same day. The algorithm plans for you when each word returns.
It stays exactly as it is. Each course keeps its own progress, its own daily goal and its own Streak. You can switch back any time and pick up where you left off.
On the free plan one course is active at a time; with Premium you can run several in parallel.
Yes. Upload your Anki file, check in the next step what was recognised, and off you go.
During the import you choose what happens to your Anki progress: start from zero, or carry over your existing review schedule (interval and difficulty are converted).
Because “Tisch” without “der” is only half the word , the same goes for “la table” in French or “el libro” in Spanish. Learn a noun without its article and you have to make up for it the hard way later.
When you add a word and when you import, the app suggests the article if it knows it, and asks if it does not. What you type always wins.
For your own words: yes, via Edit.
For a word from a ready-made course: report it using the report button on the card. We check it and correct it for everyone.

A shield saves your Streak. You can apply it afterwards to a missed day, or reserve it in advance for a day. You earn a shield by doing double your daily goal in a single day.
The learning itself costs nothing: every course from A1 to C2, every question format, every statistic. On the free plan: up to 500 of your own words, one active course, 20 audio plays and 10 example sentences per day.

Not yet, we are working on it. For now you need an internet connection to learn.
If your connection drops in the middle of a round, your ratings are not lost: they are stored and sent on as soon as you are back online.
In Settings under „Danger zone“, then „Delete account“. For safety you have to enter your password. After that you have 30 days to change your mind, only then does the deletion become final. Until then you can undo it with one click, no password needed.
You can have a copy of your data sent to you beforehand: Settings, then "Your data", then "Request data export".
